Program Overview
To enhance existing and encourage future interprofessional activities, the Interprofessional Educators & Practitioners Association (IEPA) has created a foundational interprofessional/interdisciplinary facilitator/educator certificate program.

Program Description
On-demand interprofessional knowledge and skills workshops are distributed via our e-Learning system (D2L). We will host monthly (in-person or virtual depending on circumstances) synchronous discussions. Various topics including the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) core competencies will be covered. The program is offered to all faculty, staff, postdocs, and graduate students at any of the University of Oklahoma (OU) campuses.

Program Goals
At conclusion of the Foundational Certificate in Interprofessional Education Program, participants will be able to:
  • Guide teams in interprofessional educational, practice, and scholarly activities including team facilitation and debrief
  • Create interprofessional educational and/or practice experiences according to published (see IPEC competencies) national better practices in line with their program accreditation standards or their licensure rules 

Participant Eligibility
  • Current faculty, staff, postdocs, or graduate student at any of the University of Oklahoma (OU) campuses
  • Ability to participate August 2023-May 2024
  • Ability to contribute approximately one-three (1-3) hour(s) per week to content
  • Interest in leading interprofessional/interdisciplinary teams
