Elevating the Work of Architects in the Academy
Organizations that measure University and College performance do not currently count achievements in Architecture. The National Research Council (NRC), for example, counts 1,393 different faculty awards and fellowship. However, awards from Architecture associations such as the American Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) are not included in their metrics. These metrics are used to measure the creative activity and research productivity and to determine rankings of schools.
This survey invites you to weigh in on which awards in Architecture should be counted when measuring University and College performance. It asks you to rank awards in Architecture according to the tiered system of the National Research Council.
The results of this survey will be shared with professional organizations and councils, such as the ACSA, AIA, NRC and others. If you have any questions, please contact Stephanie Pilat (spilat@ou.edu).
